Join or Renew by Mail or Fax
Download and complete the application/renewal form at right. Mail or fax with payment to the address shown in the left column (you can also scan the completed form, save it as a PDF and send via e-mail).
Using the printed form may be preferable if you have a more complex application or renewal (i.e., family and/or lifetime memberships, already an NSS member, etc.) — or you are simply not in a hurry

Of course, this is the only way to go if you are standing at Dive Outpost and need to join the CDS so you can dive Cow Spring. In theory, you can do any kind of membership applications using the online form. In practice, this seems best suited for “simple” applications or renewals (i.e., one person, one year). It’s a three-step process:
One final thing: When you get to the CDS web store, note that it is a separate website from this one, and requires a different username and password. (As if things weren’t sufficiently complicated already.)
